Three New Homes of Formula 1

The Formula 1 paddock has always been a showcase of engineering excellence. McLaren, Audi and Cadillac each unveiled new hospitality units, demonstrating how modern Formula 1 teams increasingly view their motorhomes as strategic assets rather than simple office space.

McLaren

McLaren’s new Team Hub made its debut during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend and immediately became one of the paddock’s most recognisable landmarks. Wrapped in dark reflective glass with distinctive papaya accents, the three-storey structure replaces the team’s previous European base and represents the first completely new McLaren motorhome since 2007. Designed with a minimalist aesthetic, the building features expansive glass surfaces, driver rooms, meeting spaces and a rooftop terrace overlooking the harbour. Developed over a two-year period, the project combines modern technology with sustainable materials while reflecting the team’s contemporary image both on and off the track.

Audi

Audi also chose Monaco to reveal a new identity. Replacing the long-serving Sauber hospitality unit, the German manufacturer introduced a three-storey motorhome designed around Audi’s corporate design language. Weighing approximately 260 tonnes and assembled from 40 modular shipping containers, the facility travels to every European race and serves as both a workplace and a statement of Audi’s ambitions ahead of its future championship challenge.

Cadillac

Perhaps the biggest talking point, however, came from Cadillac. Just months into its Formula 1 journey, the American team unveiled a striking three-floor motorhome that rivals many of the established frontrunners. Featuring bespoke interiors, premium hospitality areas and a dramatic floating staircase, the facility was designed not only to impress guests but also to support team operations. Cadillac’s management placed particular emphasis on creating a shared environment where engineers, mechanics, executives and partners could work and dine together. The result is more than a hospitality unit; it is a physical representation of the team’s long-term commitment to Formula 1.
